Income, spending, and where the money went over any period.
The Cashflow tab compares income and spending over the period you choose, whether months, quarters, or years. Net cashflow is income minus spending.
Breakdowns
Spending breaks down by category group, by category within each group, and by merchant. Tap a segment to see the transactions behind it.
- Uncategorized: transactions without a category. Assign one to put them in the right breakdown.
- Unknown merchant: descriptions Penny couldn't match to a merchant. Fixing these also improves recurring detection.
What's counted
Cashflow includes transactions from open and closed household accounts. It excludes deleted accounts, transfers, hidden and deleted transactions, and split originals, counting their parts instead.
Recategorizing a transaction can change past totals. If a total looks off, see The numbers look wrong.
To see one person's spending, tag by person and filter the Transactions tab.
Penny doesn't set budgets or spending limits.
