Transactions
View, filter, and review transactions across your household.
The Transactions tab lists activity from every household account, newest first. Tap a transaction to edit it.

| Date | The bank, or you for a manual entry | Yes |
| Account | The bank connection, or your choice for a manual entry | No after creation |

Pending vs. posted
A pending transaction has been authorized but hasn't settled, so its amount and description can still change, for example when a restaurant adds a tip. When it posts, Penny replaces the pending record rather than adding a second one, and your edits carry over.
Signs
Money out is negative and money in is positive, on bank and credit card accounts alike.
Filtering and search
Combine date, account, category, merchant, tag, and amount filters to narrow the list. The total reflects the matching transactions. Search matches merchant names, transaction names, and notes.
Select several transactions to change their category or tags, or hide them, all at once. For changes you keep repeating, write a rule.
Needs review
Flag a transaction as needs review to come back to it, by hand or with a rule, and mark it reviewed once you've checked it. Changing the category doesn't clear the flag.
When reviewing, look for uncategorized transactions and for transfers that are counted as spending.
