Missing transactions
Check why a transaction has not appeared.
1. It hasn't reached Penny yet
Transactions pass through your bank's posting schedule, Plaid, and Penny's sync, and timing varies by bank. A new connection may still be importing history. Pull to refresh on the Accounts tab to load the latest data Penny has received. This can't make a transaction available before the bank sends it.
2. The connection has lapsed
Look for a reconnect prompt on the Accounts tab, and see connection problems if reconnecting fails. Existing transactions stay visible when a connection stops syncing new ones.
3. It was hidden or deleted
Check the archive for hidden
and deleted transactions, and for deleted accounts. A
rule with a broad hide condition, such as name contains
FEE, can catch more than you meant.
4. It was split
A split transaction shows as its parts.
5. It's older than your bank shares
Banks share a limited window of history, sometimes up to two years and sometimes less. Penny can't fetch anything older, and reconnecting doesn't help.
6. It's on an Apple account
Apple accounts only sync when Penny runs on the iPhone that holds them.
